About Us

Hello! We are Shaun and Lora, a husband and wife team with years of newborn photography experience. What started out as a hobby for Lora, turned into a successful full-time career. Lora found her niche in Graphic Arts early on. Excellence in editing is one of the many things that sets Studio 33 apart from other photographers. While attending college, she worked in childcare (the infant room was her favorite!) as well as the Labor/Delivery Department at a local hospital. Before joining the US Army, Shaun also worked in a hospital as an anesthesia tech. Like most parents, we bought our first digital camera when our son was little because we wanted to capture all those moments that were flying by. This is when Lora absolutely fell in love with photography! She began taking courses specific to newborn photography (because who wouldn't want to take pictures of squishy, adorable babies all day?!?) and we opened our first studio in Summerville, GA in 2020. While we miss our wonderful clients, our hearts were set on moving to Northeast AL. Our best friends moved here and while visiting, we fell in love with the area! We are thrilled to be able to offer our newborn sessions in Scottsboro! Our photography education, knowledge of infant safety, and Graphic Arts skills allows us to provide our clients with beautiful, heirloom portraits that can be cherished for generations to come, right here in Jackson County.
